FRAHS Activities and Goals
- Conduct tours in the area, of significant and historical interest for adults and school children.
- Prepare exhibits for the Butler County Historical Museum.
- Preserve historical sites in the area.
- Compile and preserve information of cultural significance and folklore.
- Compile and preserve documents and other memorabilia of the famous western painter and sculptor Frederic Remington.
- Compile and preserve family histories, of the first settlers of this community.
- Compile and preserve information from the first settlements in the area.
- Have monthly meetings open to the public where guest speakers would speak on topics of historical interest.

Frederic Remington Area Historical Society (FRAHS)
Established in 1978
The Frederic Remington Area Historical Society is a membership organization and not-for-profit Corporation, filed June 21, 1978. This Corporation is exempt from federal income tax under 501(c)(3) Revenue Codes of 1954. Membership year runs from September to May: dues are announced at meetings.
The primary purpose of the Frederic Remington Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and share the Frederic Remington USD206 School District area’s rich history and culture with its residents, students, and other interested persons. A majority of the society’s programs each year are to fulfill that purpose; while other programs should inform attendees of state and national topics of historical and cultural interest.
